Welcome to the Four Seasons Garden Club of Kennett Square Community!
Our garden club hosts a variety of events throughout the year that celebrate gardening, community, and learning. There's always something happening in every season!
Spring
-
Salad Bowl Workshop - Members create container gardens with lettuces and spinach to enjoy fresh, homegrown flavors.
-
Spring Fling - A special trip to local farms in Southern Chester County, where members can gather their summer flowers and vegetables.
-
Beautification of Kennett Square - Each season, our club plants and maintains flower containers throughout the town.
-
Kennett Blooms Plant Sale - We proudly support this annual event at Pratt's Greenhouse, benefitting Kennett Collaborative. Proceeds help decorate planters in Kennett Square.
Summer
-
Library Program - Each June, we host an educational program at the Kennett Square Library, free and open to the public.
-
Floral Workshop - In July, we lead a flower arranging workshop for the members at the Kennett Area Senior Center.
-
Community Gardens - We plant and care for two local gardens: a Butterfly garden at Anson B. Nixon Park and the 1812 Memorial Garden at South Walnut & East Cypress.
-
Garden Trips - Seasonal field trips to gardens and other points of interest.
Fall
-
Flower Shows - In alternating years, we either participate in the district-wide flower show at Longwood Gardens or host our own creative, non-traditional flower show for members at our September meeting.
Winter
-
Holiday Workshop - Each December, we host a Christmas Centerpiece Workshop, open to the pubic. This popular fundraiser supports our club's programs and events throughout the year.
